Bridging Mind, Body, and Healing: My Journey as a Therapist
As a therapist, my approach is deeply rooted in both science and holistic healing, shaped by years of training and practice across multiple disciplines. My journey has been one of curiosity, commitment, and a profound desire to support people through transformative healing experiences.
Psychotherapy and Trauma Therapy
I am a fully accredited psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and hold a Master of Science in Humanistic Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute. My work is grounded in person-centered, relational, and integrative approaches, allowing me to tailor therapy to the unique needs of each client.
Trauma-informed care is a cornerstone of my practice. I am an EMDRIA Full Member and an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist, with specialist training in trauma-focused EMDR therapy. I also completed my EMDR practitioner training at the EMDR Centre in London, equipping me with the skills to help clients process and release trauma safely.
Pain, whether physical or emotional, is an area of special interest for me. As a certified practitioner of Pain Reprocessing Therapy through the Pain Reprocessing Center, I work with individuals experiencing chronic pain, helping them shift their relationship with pain and find relief.
Mind-Body Integration: Breathwork and Movement
I believe healing is most effective when it encompasses both mind and body. My training with Oxygen Advantage and as a Certified Breathwork Facilitator through Breathing Space allows me to integrate conscious breathing techniques into therapy. Breathwork is a powerful tool for regulating the nervous system, reducing stress, and deepening self-awareness.
In addition to breathwork, I am a certified Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) practitioner, helping clients reconnect with their bodies in a safe, empowering way. My background as an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher (RYT300) and fitness instructor provides me with a holistic perspective on movement, embodiment, and overall well-being.
Psychological Foundations and Continuous Learning
My journey in psychology began with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, which laid the foundation for my understanding of human behavior and mental health. Since then, I have continued expanding my expertise, becoming a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and earning a Level 6 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute.
A Compassionate, Whole-Person Approach
Every client is unique, and my goal is to create a space where healing is both evidence-based and intuitive. Whether through EMDR, psychotherapy, breathwork, or movement-based interventions, I am committed to guiding individuals toward deeper self-understanding, resilience, and lasting transformation.
If you’re looking for a therapist who integrates a range of therapeutic modalities to address both emotional and physical well-being, I’d love to support you on your journey toward healing.
