Private Insurance Information

Private insurance isn’t as common in the UK as it is in the US, but for those who have it, it can make therapy more accessible. I’ve endeavored to take as many private insurance plans as possible. If you don’t see yours on the list, let me know. I’m always happy to try to register with your company if it would make your care easier to access.

How does using my health insurance work with therapy?

In most cases, I bill your insurance company directly. For that I need some basic information about you and your claim/policy information. In some cases, your insurance company may ask for more information about treatment planning. Any information that your insurance company asks for is first discussed with you. I do not share any information about our work or anything that you have said with your insurance company- all the same standards and rules around confidentiality apply.

What information does the insurance company need to get started?
